More pics...

Okay, so you wonder why I don't have more pictures of Will. Hmmm...it's actually simple, the boy is really fast, so most pics of him are blurry. And since he runs so fast, so he's always ahead of me. Maybe in my family there will be an equal amount of pictures of the second child as there were of the first, who knows? These are mostly of Rowen, enjoying a smoothie, checking out dinosaurs at Ogden's Dinosaur Park, and eating an ice cream cone in the car (I know I am crazy). There is one or two of Will. And a cute one of Will and his buddy Tyler checking out the info on one of the Dinosaurs. There is one picture of a dino that I wanted a pic of Rowen in front of, but when I stood him there with his back to the thing and tried to walk away to get a picture he cried and ran to me. He was too scared of the statue to stand there with his back to it, I guess its big sharp teeth would be quite threatening if you still didn't know that it can't come alive and get you. And it's fun to realize that Rowen still doesn't know for sure that it can't come alive and get him. But soon, he will grow up and lose that time when reality and fantasy are the same thing. So sad, actually.

Introducing....

William's forehead! I know I know, you are shocked. I actually still am myself. But the boy is good lookin'. He was acquiring some dread locks on the back of his head from sleeping that he wouldn't let us brush out. He hated having his hair brushed, and hated it getting in his eyes. And the second cutest haircut on a little boy, next to the skater surfer boy style, is the 50's buzz. So, we went for it. William was all for it, and now he loves it.

William and Rowen actually sitting together, watching a show. Will has a really dirty face, but I couldn't resist getting a picture of their profiles. Cute blonde boys.

Catch up on the pics!

Rowen looking like a little skater boy in his new hat.

Rowen again mad that I am taking pics instead of letting him outside. He is the sweetest little guy but is definitely learning how to assert his will, or scream when he doesn't get his way. The last few weeks we are seeing his terrible two's. But overall, the mellowest sweetest little guy you have ever come across.

Rowen has really mastered jumping on the trampoline. He calls it AH-Bah. But he can get his two feet in the air at once and jump pretty high about ten times before he falls down. And of course the hair.

Helping mom blow up his floaty at the hotel so we could go swimming. Both boys just love it.

I love to wear ski goggles, I bring them to mom and say, "ON". I also love to brush my teeth, mom turns on the water for me and I am occupied for a long time!

William is a poser! The last one is of his "scary hands". He asks me, "Are you afraid of my scary hands?" So silly.

I was decorating my fort (a cardboard watermelon crate mom got at work) with markers and I got bored and decided to decorate myself... (the marker still hasn't worn off in about 4 days, he has a purple belly button too, ONLY buy crayola washables because these ones aren't so good...)

...but of course I had to also decorate the wall. I love markers. For some reason though, Grandpa doesn't love them as much as I do. Hmmm.....wonder why that is.

Pics from work

Here are a few pics from work, my regional floral lady came to train me the other day and that was wonderful because I learned a lot and she is very nice. Also, it was not wonderful because she taught me a lot of things that I have to do that I didn't know how to do. Oh well, it's been a learning curve but is definitely fun and relaxing. I am the only floral person there so I can write my own schedule, take breaks when I want, no one is on my case, it is a good change from customer service. I also like setting my own pace, which was challenging at first because I had to play catch up from them not having a floral person for two weeks. My first two days were long and hard and crazy, but now I feel like I have the swing of things. It's good.

More changes and some pics...

So....more changes are: my brother moved out upstairs, it's more quiet here now, well, not now because my Dad and Jacque are in town upstairs fixing and painting and such. But when they aren't here, it will be quiet which is really really good, but at night it is still a little scary. I know I am the grown up mom now, but I still don't like being the defender. Probably never will. I will also be moving someday when (and if, I know, I know, the economy sucks) the house sells.

Another big change is: I am switching jobs AGAIN. :) There is a new health food type store opening up in Murray, called Sunflower Farmer's Market. They offered me more money and also no drive to Park City. And I have been spending over $150 in gas to drive to work every month, so yeah, here goes the second switch in recent months. My work will now be only 10 minutes away, and pays more too!

And here are a few pics of Will, who loves to help his Grandpa fix the house. Especially when Grandpa lets him use his REAL drill (the batteries were low so it was going slowly). When Will was almost 2, my dad built him a sandbox and was using noisy tools to make it, and William called him "Grandpa big noises". But since he was almost 2 and his speech was almost 2, he called him Grandpa-big-no-nes. It was super cute, he has always associated tools with my dad. Will was eating something while drilling, which is going to someday be funny because he can't sit still EVER and so often eats on the run, or doesn't eat. Sitting down for dinner is pure torture for him, but if he has a sandwich and can run around and play, he eats much more food. What an active kid. Someday I will slow down and relax, someday like when Will goes to college. But still, I look forward to that day, it will also be when these pics are so cute that he had his mouth stuffed while drilling holes in wood.

Where has all the time gone?

This is my tiny baby William. These were: his first picture with a hat on (I will spare you seeing his HUGE cone head), his first try holding his head up (one day old, my muscle baby) and his first ride in the sling. This summer he will turn 4. Woah. It really hasn't set in that I am a mom at all, and now I am the mom of an almost 4 year old. Who is about to give up naps for good. Yikes.

Update...

I switched jobs to Whole Foods (better pay, sleep at night) from Snowbird. For a couple weeks I was working two full time jobs, so I was totally busy and didn't update the blog at all. I will try to get some new pics up soon. I am happy it's spring, got my heirloom tomato plants yesterday and can't wait to plant them (thursday I think).

I like my new job, if any of you are in Park City ever, drop by the Whole Foods you might catch me there.
