Albion Basin

My sorta tradition is to go up to Albion Basin on my birthday, and this year, we did. Me and the boys cruised around and took some pics. It is one of the most beautiful places in the world. I love it! Will helped me hunt for columbines, creatures and bugs. By the way it still looks like this up there right now, so you should go!

Silver Lake

A couple weeks ago we went to Silver Lake at Brighton. The boys loved running around. Rowen even fell off the boardwalk into the swamp!








William wanted to throw rocks in the water, but he couldn't find any rocks, see?

Goodbye...

Goodbye to my sweet puppy. She was born January 31, 1997, and died yesterday August 2, 2008. She was a spunky dog and I loved her so much. We had a sweet vet who was smart and compassionate and told us it was time to go. When I have more time and less tears, I will tell some funny Aspen stories. Putting animals to sleep is cruel, to the owners. It's been a rough weekend.

Okay, so you wonder why I don't have more pictures of Will. Hmmm...it's actually simple, the boy is really fast, so most pics of him are blurry. And since he runs so fast, so he's always ahead of me. Maybe in my family there will be an equal amount of pictures of the second child as there were of the first, who knows? These are mostly of Rowen, enjoying a smoothie, checking out dinosaurs at Ogden's Dinosaur Park, and eating an ice cream cone in the car (I know I am crazy). There is one or two of Will. And a cute one of Will and his buddy Tyler checking out the info on one of the Dinosaurs. There is one picture of a dino that I wanted a pic of Rowen in front of, but when I stood him there with his back to the thing and tried to walk away to get a picture he cried and ran to me. He was too scared of the statue to stand there with his back to it, I guess its big sharp teeth would be quite threatening if you still didn't know that it can't come alive and get you. And it's fun to realize that Rowen still doesn't know for sure that it can't come alive and get him. But soon, he will grow up and lose that time when reality and fantasy are the same thing. So sad, actually.

Introducing....

William's forehead! I know I know, you are shocked. I actually still am myself. But the boy is good lookin'. He was acquiring some dread locks on the back of his head from sleeping that he wouldn't let us brush out. He hated having his hair brushed, and hated it getting in his eyes. And the second cutest haircut on a little boy, next to the skater surfer boy style, is the 50's buzz. So, we went for it. William was all for it, and now he loves it.









William and Rowen actually sitting together, watching a show. Will has a really dirty face, but I couldn't resist getting a picture of their profiles. Cute blonde boys.
